Emerald Bay in Winter...
Is just a stunning place. Plus there is the great bonus that one has it almost to oneself! (None of the usual summer hordes! There were tracks from two other people, whom I did not see...).
(Taking pictures of yourself with the timer is tough when you aren't so steady on cross country skiis, and have to rush downhill to get into the picture!)
