Potato Soup

Saute potatoes, onions, and celery in 1 tablespoons of butter. Then add boiling water to cover, salt, and bay leaf, and boil until the potatoes are tender. Put in blender, and beat in another 2 tablespoons butter. Thin the soup to the desired consistency with rich milk and/or chicken stock. Add optional spices if desired, top with parsley and meat.
