Lebkucken (Oblaten)

Directions:

Beat eggs with sugar until foamy. Add all spices. Grind half the almonds, cut the other half into pieces. Add to egg-mixture along with Zitronat. Put finger-thickness of dough on oblaten on a buttered cookie sheet. Bake for 20 minutes at 325 degrees, until they are light brown. Cover with sugar or chocolate icing while still warm.
