Butter cookies

Directions:

Finely mince lemon peel on a cutting board. Mix the flour with the butter, sugar, and lemon peel, work lightly with the egg yolks into a dough. Roll and cut out into shapes using forms, bake slowly in even heat (preheat oven, roughly 375 deg).

(Alternate version listed: 1 pound flour, ½ pound butter, ½ pound sugar, 4 egg yolks, salt, lemon peel)
